The Michelle & Patti Collaborative
"Somewhere along the way, we must learn that there is nothing greater than to do something for others.”
-Martin Luther King

One day Patti Morin and Michelle Harrington realized they had a lot in common. This inspired them to band together and create the Michelle and Patti Collaborative.
Both Michelle and Patti have experienced tragedy in their lives - Michelle the loss of her sister Katy to cancer and Patti the loss of her youngest child, Ellie, to drug overdose, and both sought to find a place to channel their heartache. As a result, and with a bit of good luck, they became involved helping individuals experiencing homelessness. For each of them, what started as a small act of kindness spiraled into something much more.
When they realized they shared a similar vision, they decided to join forces and see what they could do to help more of the city’s homeless population and to get more people involved in this work!
Now Michelle and Patti are working together to make a greater impact.
The recipients of their efforts include homeless adults at Pine Street Inn, New England’s largest homeless services provider; homeless teens at Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Boston’s only shelter for homeless, at-risk, and runaway teens, and homeless individuals on the streets of Boston; the Women’s Lunch Place, an advocacy center in Boston dedicated to helping women experiencing homelessness, hunger and poverty; and St. Francis House, the largest day shelter in New England.
Michelle and Patti have both realized that a little love can go a long way. and both believe that the ripple effect of kindness is real!
They are working hard to get more business, corporate, and individual support.
More than anything they desire to share with others the blessings that come from helping others.
